This collection includes an assortment of vintage board games and 1000-piece jigsaw puzzles, primarily from established British manufacturers. The board games feature a Monopoly edition by Waddingtons, presented in a red and white cardboard box; a Scrabble game by J. W. Spear & Sons PLC, Enfield, Middlesex, in a green box; and a ThinkBlot game produced by Mattel in 1999, housed in a square orange box. The jigsaw puzzles comprise a 1000-piece Waddingtons puzzle titled Scotland’s Pride by artist Geoffrey Murray, a Philmar 1000-piece puzzle depicting a portrait of a young girl, a Hestair Jigsaw 1000 showing a continental town scene with a gatehouse tower, and a Fame Puzzles 1000-piece puzzle of a formal garden and hotel building. The group also contains a 1000-piece puzzle of half-timbered houses, resembling the style of Waddingtons, and a historical map puzzle of the British Isles 1646 after John Speed. Each item is constructed from printed cardboard and paper.
