A diverse collection of memorabilia focused on space exploration and popular culture. The group includes two decorative ceramic plates. The first is a large plate commemorating the Apollo 11 moon landing, featuring a central image of an astronaut on the lunar surface with the American flag and Lunar Module. The rim is inscribed with the phrase ONE SMALL STEP FOR A MAN – ONE GIANT LEAP FOR MANKIND and lists the crew names NEIL ARMSTRONG, EDWIN E. ALDRIN JR., and MICHAEL COLLINS with the date JULY 20, 1969. The second plate features a central image of the Lunar Module surrounded by various NASA mission patches including Apollo 11, Apollo 13, and Skylab. Included is a Star Trek The Next Generation snow globe consisting of a black pedestal base with the series logo in gold-tone lettering and a liquid-filled glass globe containing a detailed model of the U.S.S. ENTERPRISE NCC-1701-D. The ephemera selection comprises a Kennedy Space Center booklet containing ten panoramic prints, a commemorative postal cover titled FIRST MAN ON THE MOON – HISTORIC APOLLO MISSIONS, an Apollo 15 postal cover dated 1971, and a blue MAN ON THE MOON booklet. Additional items include a colour printed portrait postcard of Diana, Princess of Wales, souvenir booklets for FLORIDA and THE WORLD, and three small enamel pins, two of which are red remembrance poppies.
