The set features a cream-coloured ground with a speckled finish, decorated with stylised brushstroke illustrations in black and red. The motifs depict aubergines alongside East Asian calligraphic script. The service comprises various forms including large rimmed dinner plates, side plates, square plates with rounded corners, circular and square divided plates with integral dipping sections, small nested bowls, shallow rimmed bowls, scallop-edged shell-shaped side dishes, and a large oval serving platter. The base of each piece is embossed with the manufacturer logo for Swan in a stylised script, accompanied by the text MELAMINE 900.
