A pair of artworks comprising an industrial landscape and a riverside scene. The first work is , an oil on canvas depicting a stylized Northern industrial scene. The composition features two figures, a green Victorian-style streetlamp, and factory chimneys emitting smoke, rendered in a naive style characteristic of the artist. The work is signed Tom in the lower-left corner. It is housed in a wide, off-white wooden frame with a gilt inner slip. The second work is depicting a young man seated on rocks by a river, testing the water with his foot, set against a background of autumnal trees in an impressionistic style. This piece is presented in a narrow gilt-finished wooden frame with a white mount. No markings or labels are visible on the verso of either work.
