A mid-20th-century professional multi-drawer transport and display case, likely used by a travelling sales representative. The large-format case is constructed with a wooden core finished in a black pebbled-effect textured covering, such as Rexine or a similar leatherette. The interior is fitted with eight shallow sliding trays, each containing approximately twelve narrow horizontal compartments lined in a cream-coloured fabric. These compartments are designed for the secure storage and presentation of fountain pens, optical frames, or similar small collectibles. Each tray is equipped with a silver-tone arched metal pull handle. The exterior of the case features a hinged lid secured by two metal toggle latches and is fitted with a sturdy black composite carrying handle. No maker’s marks or brand names are visible on the exterior or interior.
