A collection of assorted vintage and mid-century modern glass lamp shades of varying forms and decorative styles. The group includes several distinct types: three matching amber-tinted glass shades featuring a mottled, stippled texture and ruffled rims with a subtle iridescent lustre finish; two matching amber glass shades with a heavy, pressed-glass geometric diamond or pineapple pattern; a single large, compressed globular shade in white opaque glass, decorated with concentric gold-tone bands at the neck and a wide band of wavy gold-tone lines around the midsection in a mid-century flycatcher style; and a single cylindrical shade in cream-coloured glass, featuring a minimalist mid-century design of fine horizontal black lines accented with short red and silver-tone strokes. The pieces are constructed using a variety of techniques including mold-blown and pressed glass with applied lustre, transfer-printed or painted enamel, and gold-tone gilding.
