The components also include various suspension chains, iron hooks, and a counterweight. One of the copper pans is stamped with the identifying text LOAN SCALE 008, indicating its historical use as a registered or official piece of weighing equipment. The scale design combines a traditional balance mechanism with a steelyard-style graduated beam. The forged iron bracket retains its original functional form for wall mounting.
