The lot comprises numerous pages featuring artistic and erotic photography of the human form, printed largely in black and white offset lithography with occasional colour examples. The subjects include nude and semi-nude men and women in various settings, including outdoor naturist environments, studio poses, and domestic scenes. Several images incorporate printed decorative censor bars.
Visible printed text on specific sheets includes the phrase “…they are the first ever published of mixed nude bathing in a public bath, in this country” on page 27, and a feature titled “A time for quiet” on page 46. The typography, layout, and subject matter are consistent with mid-20th-century British naturist and health publications such as Health & Efficiency and Sun & Health. The paper stock exhibits characteristic age-related toning.
