A pair of long, shallow wooden storage trunks, finished in a dark paint or stain. Each case is constructed with metal corner reinforcements and features a hinged lid with a central keyhole and metal latches. The trunks are fitted with leather strap handles secured by metal brackets. One lid bears a small white adhesive label printed with the numerals 1008. These cases were likely intended for the transport or storage of specialised industrial equipment or instruments.
