A studio-crafted artisan ring made from sterling silver, featuring a central oval cabochon amethyst. The amethyst displays a deep purple colour with natural internal inclusions and is secured in a collet setting. The ring head is designed with a multi-tiered frame, embellished with applied silver granules of varying sizes and a double-wire wrap detail around the base. The shank is a plain, D-section band that tapers slightly from the head. The interior of the shank bears an incised mark for 925 fineness and a small, partially obscured rectangular maker’s mark. This piece is in the style of mid-20th-century British studio jewellery.
