This collection consists of several vintage brooches including commemorative, figural, and Scottish-themed designs. One piece is a pendant-style medal brooch featuring a top bar embossed with the letters R.M.H. between two panels of light blue enamel; suspended from this is an oval gold-tone pendant depicting a figure in relief tending to a seated person against a dark blue enamel ground. A second item is a figural gold-tone brooch shaped as a winged cupid or angel with a bow and arrow aimed at a bell-shaped object. The third item is a sentimental bar brooch with the word MOTHER in silver-tone metal lettering fixed to an iridescent cream-coloured rectangular plaque, likely mother-of-pearl or an early synthetic. The collection also includes a large circular silver-tone brooch with an openwork thistle border and a central faceted pinkish-purple paste stone, alongside a smaller silver-tone Scottish thistle brooch set with a faceted purple glass stone. All pieces feature pin fastenings to the reverse. No maker marks or metal purity hallmarks are visible.
