A late 19th or early 20th-century dome-top steamer trunk, also known as a camelback trunk. The exterior is finished in a black canvas covering with leather-bound edges and corners, secured with metal rivets and studs. The front of the trunk features white stencilled initials reading J. H. B. over K. The trunk retains a central leather latch cover and remnants of its original leather strapping. The internal structure is constructed of wood.
