A vintage ceramic figurine depicting an owl with stylized concentric eyes and a heavily textured, impasto-like surface representing feathers, perched upon a base modelled as a textured tree stump. The entire piece is finished in a rich, glossy monochrome teal green glaze. On the underside of the base, the word ENGLAND is incised in a curved arc, alongside a large, deeply incised character resembling the letter E. This particular model and glaze style are highly consistent with the mid-20th-century output of British manufacturers such as Anglia Pottery or SylvaC (Shaw and Copestake).
Height: 19cm.
