A contemporary Maltese studio glass vase by Mdina, of tall cylindrical form with a rounded shoulder, short neck, and a widely flared rim. The vessel is hand-blown and decorated in the Random Strapping pattern, featuring an intricate, raised web-like overlay of applied glass trails over a mottled and swirled ground of teal, forest green, and ochre yellow. The interior and the flared rim are crafted from a vibrant, translucent turquoise-blue glass. This technique and style were pioneered by Michael Harris at the Mdina studio in the late 20th century. No maker marks or signatures are visible.
