This is a hand-cut lead crystal spirit decanter featuring a bulbous body and a matching mushroom-shaped stopper. The piece is decorated with an intricate pattern consisting of a central band of diamond criss-cross cutting, accented by vertical wedge cuts and fan motifs. Both the base of the decanter and the top of the stopper are finished with a deep radial starburst design. The side of the decanter bears a clear acid-etched logo for Wheatley Golf Club, featuring the club name arranged around a heraldic shield containing a lion rampant, a hand, and a golf club head. A faint, illegible acid-etched maker mark is present on the underside of the base. The glass exhibits high clarity and strong prismatic refraction characteristic of high lead content crystal. The design and quality are consistent with premium British glassmakers such as Stuart Crystal or Edinburgh Crystal.
