A pressed uranium glass bowl produced by Bagley and Co. of Knottingley, Yorkshire, in the Poppy pattern (number 3041). The vessel is fashioned from translucent pale green glass which displays a bright neon green fluorescence when viewed under ultraviolet light. The exterior body features a relief-moulded motif of stylised poppy flowers and foliage. The bowl is supported by three integral scroll-form feet and is finished with a notched or crenellated rim. Two yellow rectangular paper stickers are adhered to the interior, both printed with the characters 1188. No manufacturer marks are visible on the piece.
