This mantel clock is manufactured by Smiths, featuring a mechanical 30-hour movement. The case is constructed from a pale yellow thermosetting plastic, designed in a stepped architectural Art Deco form. The cream-coloured dial is detailed with raised gilt Arabic numerals and a concentric inner ring. It retains two black hands, the minute hand featuring a circular counterweight. The dial is protected by a convex glass cover within a metal bezel. The reverse features a brown-painted metal backplate with integrated winding and setting keys, stamped Made in Gt Britain. The dial is marked Smiths 30 Hour and Made in Great Britain.
