These struck pieces feature the Young Head obverse with the transcribed legend VICTORIA D: G: BRITANNIAR: REGINA F: D:. The reverse of each coin features a crowned numeral within an oak wreath, with the date 1853 split by the central figure. Struck in .925 sterling silver at the Royal Mint.
