This needlework panel features a central floral composition intricately worked in polychrome silk threads on a golden-tan silk ground. The design depicts a stylized basket overflowing with various garden flowers, including a large pink rose, purple and yellow pansies, pink carnations, and blue forget-me-nots. The central arrangement is framed by elaborate scrolling gold-thread work and a decorative border accented with metallic spangles. The embroidery is executed with fine silk and metallic threads on a silk or satin ground. It is housed in a simple dark wood frame with a cream-coloured mat under glass. A small white adhesive label bearing the number 061 is located on the lower right corner of the mount.
