2016 United Kingdom silver proof one pound coin, titled The Last Round Pound, issued by The Royal Mint to commemorate the final year of the traditional round pound. The reverse design is by Gregory Cameron and the obverse features the fifth definitive coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark. Struck in .925 sterling silver with a proof finish. The coin is housed in its original clear plastic capsule and set within a black Royal Mint presentation case with a velvet-lined interior. Accompanied by the original information booklet and Certificate of Authenticity numbered 0134. This issue marks the final round pound struck for the United Kingdom before the transition to the 12-sided bimetallic version.
