A pair of naturalistically modelled ceramic figurines depicting foxes, produced by Beswick. The first figure is depicted in a seated, alert pose with the head turned slightly to the right. The second figure is modelled in a standing posture. Both items feature a high-gloss glaze in a traditional palette of russet brown with white highlights to the chest, underbelly, and tail tip. Hand-painted black details are applied to the ear tips, eyes, nose, and paws. The models are consistent with the Beswick hunt collection, including the small standing fox and the seated fox. No maker’s marks are visible on the upper bodies of the figurines.
