Construction styles include chain-link, fixed-bar, and torpedo-back mechanisms. Decorative treatments include engine-turned engraving, mother-of-pearl inlays, and multi-coloured enamel work with geometric and figurative motifs. One stud shank is incised with the mark GILT. No other hallmarks or maker’s marks are clearly legible.
