This collection comprises several items of mid-20th-century travel equipment and an associated hat. The group includes a rectangular travel suitcase constructed from brown textured leather, featuring stitched edges and a central leather handle. The front face of the suitcase is marked with the initials E. W. in black serif lettering. It is secured with metal latches. Also included are two graduated oval hat boxes finished in a black textured material, possibly rexine or paper-covered board, with metal latches and leather carrying straps. Resting atop the boxes is a women’s mid-20th-century brown felt hat, decorated with a large, coordinating translucent fabric bow, likely organza.
