A Thunderbirds 50th Anniversary collector’s chess set produced by Tactic. The set is housed in a rectangular decorative storage tin featuring the Tactic logo in a red diamond, the word Chess, and artwork depicting Thunderbird 3. The lid is marked A Gerry Anderson Production, Thunderbirds, and 50 Years. The set includes die-cast metal chess pieces finished in two contrasting tones: a bright silver-tone and a darker gunmetal or antique silver-tone. The pieces are modelled after characters and vehicles from the British science-fiction series, including Thunderbirds 1, 2, 3, and 5, as well as character figures such as Lady Penelope. The interior features a black foam insert with fitted compartments designed to hold the individual pieces. Several pieces are currently contained in original clear plastic bags within the tin.
