This lot comprises a collection of several unframed aviation art prints by the artist Robert Taylor, produced as offset lithographs. The collection includes notable titles such as Duel of Eagles, depicting a Spitfire and Bf 109; Memphis Belle, featuring the B-17 Flying Fortress; and The Last Phantom, showing an F-4 Phantom. Other prints in the group depict scenes with various aircraft including the de Havilland Mosquito and Avro Lancaster.
Most prints are hand-signed in pencil by Robert Taylor in the lower margin. Several examples bear the original pencil signatures of distinguished Second World War pilots and aircrew associated with the depicted aircraft, including Sir Douglas Bader and Adolf Galland on the Duel of Eagles print, and Colonel Robert K. Morgan on the Memphis Belle print. The prints were published by the Military Gallery, Bath, England. Many examples retain their original translucent protective tissue guards.
