A Cold War-era British military aviation parachute deployment or drogue bag, used by the Royal Air Force. The rectangular pack is constructed from heavy-duty tan canvas. One face features multiple rows of neatly flaked white nylon cordage. The reverse side is fitted with a metal toggle set within a recessed, reinforced eyelet for attachment to a harness or seat system. The pack appears to remain in its original packed configuration, secured with a red safety thread. The side of the canvas is marked in black ink with the following text: REF NO 15 G / 971 / 4547, followed by the date 21 APR 1965. A boxed inspector’s stamp is visible below the text, containing a Broad Arrow (pheon) over the number 70. The 15G prefix is the Ministry of Defence store reference code specifically designated for Royal Air Force parachute equipment.
