A mid-century modern teak twin-pedestal desk of ‘floating top’ construction. The piece features a rectangular top with a solid teak edge, supported above two pedestals by a recessed frame. It is configured with five drawers, including a wide central drawer and two drawers to each pedestal, all fitted with characteristic recessed, curved solid wood handles. The unit is supported by four tapered, turned wooden legs and is finished to the reverse, permitting its use as a freestanding item in the centre of a room. The construction and handle design are characteristic of the Fresco range designed by Victor Wilkins.
