A late George VI 22ct yellow gold wedding band of rounded D-shape profile. The interior of the band features a complete set of British hallmarks, including a rectangular cartouche containing the impressed characters H.J.B, followed by a crown and the numeric fineness mark 22 indicating 22 carat gold. The assay marks include an anchor for the Birmingham office and a lowercase date letter v in a shield-shaped punch corresponding to the year 1945. A single character X is incised manually into the internal surface of the band. The ring is of solid construction with a high-purity gold colouration.
