A 9ct yellow gold garnet cluster cocktail ring of tiered, openwork construction. The setting features a central oval-faceted garnet of a deep dark-red hue, surrounded by a border of ten circular-faceted garnets in a matching shade. The stones are held within a heavily textured ‘bark-effect’ or Brutalist style basket setting, which tapers into a smooth, solid band. The interior of the shank is struck with hallmarks including the fineness mark 375 for 9 carat gold, alongside other illegible assay and maker’s marks.
