A pearl double strand necklace comprising two rows of graduated pearls with a cream body colour and high lustre. The pearls are individually knotted on a light-toned silk thread. The necklace is secured with a decorative 9ct yellow gold box clasp featuring an openwork foliate design set with small faceted green stones. The reverse of the clasp bears a full set of British hallmarks including a rectangular shield containing the letters GFW, a crown gold standard mark, the fineness mark 375, a London assay office leopard’s head, and the date letter q for 1971.
