A vintage necklace featuring a graduated strand of semi-translucent orange beads, likely baltic amber? or carnelian?. The beads exhibit a distinctive flattened spherical or lentil form, increasing in diameter towards the centre of the strand. Each bead is polished to a high-gloss finish, displaying a vibrant yolk to honey-orange colouration with characteristic internal clouding and naturalistic variations in translucency throughout. The necklace is strung on a tonal orange thread, appearing to be a continuous loop as no metal clasp or fastening is visible. The smooth, tactile surface of the beads is characteristic of hand-polished natural materials, and the graduation is uniform across the length of the piece.
