A Franklin Mint glazed porcelain figurine depicting the fairy-tale character Cinderella, designed by Gerda Neubacher. The figure is rendered in a dynamic pose, descending a flight of stairs while lifting the skirts of a voluminous pink gown. The dress features an iridescent pearlescent glaze on the bodice and puffed sleeves, accented with gold-painted trim and delicate floral sprays. Cinderella is further embellished with a gilt metal effect tiara and a painted necklace featuring a small heart-shaped pendant. The underside of the base features an elaborate gold-printed mark within a ribbon-and-floral border, reading ‘Cinderella by Gerda Neubacher’ in cursive script, followed by the signature ‘Gerda Neubacher’, a copyright symbol, and the text ‘1988 THE FRANKLIN MINT’. A small white adhesive sticker is also present, reading ‘CRAFTED IN MALAYSIA’.
