An Mdina art glass vase of stepped or side strapped square form, featuring a thick clear glass body encasing internal swirls of turquoise and cobalt blue glass. The piece is finished with a short neck and an applied, flared clear glass rim. This substantial vessel exhibits the optical depth and weight characteristic of the sommerso technique and is a classic design from the Mdina glass studio in Malta, established by Michael Harris. The base bears an incised signature.
