This is an authentic World War II British Air Ministry (RAF) pocket watch, typically issued to observers and navigators. The open-face case is constructed from chrome-plated base metal and features a sidewinder configuration, with the crown and bow positioned at the 9 o’clock mark. The snap-on case back is engraved with the British military broad arrow (pheon) symbol. The markings include 6E/50, which denotes Air Ministry aviation equipment (6E) specifically for a pocket watch (/50). The case back also features the incised serial and year marking 1513/43, indicating a 1943 issue date. The aged cream dial displays black Arabic numerals from 1 to 12 with a printed outer minute track and a subsidiary seconds dial at the 3 o’clock position. The hour, minute, and sub-seconds hands are crafted from blackened steel.
Case size: 50mm.
