This lot comprises two German glazed porcelain figurines from different manufacturers. The first is an 18th-century style female figure by Carl Scheidig, Gräfenthal. She is depicted wearing a pink hat, a red bodice, and a mint green overskirt while holding a floral-patterned underskirt. The figurine is set upon a rococo-style base decorated with applied flowers and gilt highlights. The underside features an underglaze blue mark consisting of a crown above the letters G and R, and a hand-painted mark in red. The second figurine, by Metzler and Ortloff of Ilmenau, features a chimney sweep in traditional black clothing and a top hat kissing a girl in a blue dress and polka-dot headscarf over a black ladder. The base includes a circular stamp with a crown over a stylised letter M, the word GERMANY, and an impressed model number 7213.
