A Royal Doulton polychrome glazed porcelain figurine titled The Wayfarer, model number HN 2362. The figurine depicts an elderly bearded man seated on a textured grassy mound, wearing a dark green overcoat, a brown buttoned waistcoat, grey trousers, and a black and white chequered cap. He is portrayed holding a white clay pipe to his lips with his right hand while supporting a cream-coloured jug on his lap with his left. The figure wears vibrant red shoes. The underside of the base features green underglaze factory marks including the Royal Doulton lion and crown device, the title The Wayfarer, and the model number H.N. 2362. The marks also include the copyright date COPR 1969, DOULTON & CO LIMITED, and several registration numbers: Rd No 942055, 54809, 11896, and 488/69. A small hand-painted black mark is present on the underside.
