A collection of three exotic butterfly specimens presented in a glazed wooden frame. The assembly includes a member of the Pieridae family, possibly a species of Jezebel (Delias sp.), featuring white wings with dark veining and orange markings on the hindwings. The centre specimen is a large swallowtail butterfly, possibly a female Mocker Swallowtail (Papilio dardanus), with cream-coloured wings, translucent tips, and long tails on the hindwings. The specimen on the right is a member of the Nymphalidae family, resembling a Lacewing butterfly (Cethosia sp.), displaying intricate orange and brown patterns with heavily scalloped wing margins. The butterflies are pinned to a plain white paper background within a rectangular wooden frame. The frame features a dark-stained outer moulding and a natural-finish inner bevelled slip. A small white adhesive label with the lot number 1001 is present on the lower-left corner of the glass. There are no visible maker’s marks or scientific labels.
