This extensive collection of vintage British railway ephemera comprises several hundred Edmondson-style card tickets housed in two presentation albums. According to provided information, one album is full and the second is partly filled. The collection spans several decades of British transport history, featuring tickets from the pre-nationalisation Big Four era, including the London and North Eastern Railway (LNER) and Midland Railway, as well as post-nationalisation British Railways regional issues from the Southern, Midland, and Eastern regions. The tickets document a wide geographical range of routes and stations including Bletchley, Bedford (St. Johns), Brighton, Bournemouth Central, Exeter, Plymouth, Blackpool, Leeds City, York, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Doncaster, Rotherham, and Mexborough.

The assortment includes a variety of ticket types such as platform tickets (notably Bournemouth Cen and Bedford), single and return journey tickets, cheap day returns, and excursion tickets for half-day, evening, and special trips. Some examples feature “One Accompanied Passenger” text or distinctive red diamond overprints signifying specific fare restrictions. Legible date stamps and printed information range from the mid-1950s through to the mid-1970s, including specific dates such as 7th July 1955 and November 1974. The tickets are arranged in clear plastic multi-pocket sleeves within a black ring-binder and a blue binder with a matching protective slipcase.

Standard Edmondson ticket dimensions: 57mm x 30mm.
