This extensive collection consists of an assortment of vintage British railway tickets, predominantly of the traditional Edmundson card type. The collection is well-organised within clear plastic pocket sleeves, housed in a professional blue ring-binder with a matching slipcase. The tickets represent a diverse range of historical railway companies and joint committees, spanning the pre-grouping, Big Four, and nationalisation eras. Visible markings identify tickets from the Great Eastern Railway (GER), including a Stratford to Liverpool Street Third Class ticket; the South Eastern and Chatham Railway (SE&CR), featuring a Charing Cross to Cannon Street Second Class issue; and the London, Tilbury and Southend Railway (L. T. and S. R.).

The assembly also contains tickets from the Metropolitan Railway, such as a Harrow-on-the-Hill to Baker Street issue and an orange privilege ticket for Liverpool Street to St. Mary’s. Examples from the Midland and Great Northern Joint Committee (M&GNJR) are present, including Furlough tickets for travel from Sheringham to Weybourne and West Runton. Military travel is well-documented through several Forces Duty and Forces Leave tickets, including routes from London Euston to Warrington and London Bridge to Brighton. A significant historical piece includes a handwritten note identifying the last two tickets issued on the day of closure for the Shoreham to Horsted line, dated 6th February 1966. The collection includes various classes of travel and specialized issues such as government warrant tickets from London Transport and joint LMS and Southern Railway tickets.
