A collection of silver-plated flatware and hollowware items, likely dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. The flatware comprises an assortment of pieces including forks in the fiddle pattern, serving forks, tablespoons, and smaller condiment or teaspoons. One fork handle features an engraved script monogram. The hollowware includes a cream jug with a scrolled handle and beaded borders, a pair of matching shakers or sugar casters with domed perforated lids and gadrooned decoration, and a small circular lidded pot, possibly for mustard.
The reverse of the flatware handles bears a series of marks in individual cartouches. These include a diamond shape, the letter E, the letter P, the letter S, and a crown symbol. These markings are characteristic of Electro-Plated Nickel Silver (EPNS) pseudo-hallmarks, used by British manufacturers to emulate the appearance of genuine sterling silver hallmarks. No sterling silver hallmarks are present on the items.
