A trio of Chinese brass charger plates or shallow trays featuring hand-etched and chased decoration, likely produced in the early to mid-20th century. The set consists of one larger plate and two smaller plates. Each piece is constructed from sheet brass with a hand-hammered scalloped pie-crust rim. The largest plate is decorated with a central incised Chinese character 福 (Fú), representing good fortune, enclosed within a meander border and surrounded by etched bamboo leaves and floral sprigs. The rim of the large plate features a repeating band of small stamped flower heads. The two smaller plates feature central calligraphic characters surrounded by concentric bands of geometric triangle patterns, floral sprays, and scrollwork.
Diameter: 16 inches and 12 inches.
