A vintage Italian table lamp featuring a hand-painted porcelain sculpture by the artist R. Pennati. The central figure depicts an owl in flight with outstretched wings, realistically modelled and perched upon a rocky-style ceramic base. The sculpture is mounted on a circular, turned, and polished wooden plinth. The wooden base is fitted with a small rectangular metal plaque inscribed R. Pennati, and the ceramic base features a corresponding incised signature. The lamp is supported by a brass-toned metal stem and is topped with a large, cream-coloured fabric shade of flared, hexagonal form, decorated with scrolling braid trim and a deep fringe. The item is fitted with a gold-coloured three-core electrical flex. This item is sold as an electrical collectible and has not been PAT tested; inspection by a qualified electrician is recommended before use.
