A modernist pendant necklace featuring a large oval amber cabochon. The pendant is constructed with an openwork sterling silver frame of fluid, asymmetrical design, tapering towards the bail. The central amber stone is of a honey-orange hue with visible internal spangles and is secured in a rub-over bezel setting. The pendant is suspended from a twisted curb-link chain. The chain is fitted with a spring-ring bolt clasp and an oval tag stamped 925. Additional struck marks are present on the clasp and pendant bail but are illegible. The design is in the style of mid-to-late 20th-century European studio jewellery, resembling designs by Wulflund.
