Two horse racing sculptures from the Atlas Editions The Sport of Kings collection. The first sculpture depicts the steeplecaser Mandarin with a jockey in mid-jump over a brush fence, commemorating the 1962 Grand Steeplechase de Paris victory. This piece is accompanied by an informational card detailing the horse’s career. The second sculpture features the stallion Hyperion in a standing pose on a plinth with a gold-tone nameplate. Both items are manufactured from cold-cast resin with a patinated bronze-effect finish. The lot includes original branded boxes for both sculptures and a Certificate of Authenticity for the Hyperion piece.
Mandarin sculpture height: 14 cm.
