An Old Tupton Ware rectangular ceramic dish featuring a tubelined hibiscus pattern. The earthenware piece is decorated with three orange hibiscus flowers and green foliage set against a deep cobalt blue ground. The decoration is executed using the traditional tubelined technique, where raised clay outlines are hand-filled with translucent glazes. The dish features a fluted or scalloped rim. The base bears a printed black mark featuring a crown symbol above the text Old Tupton Ware Hand Painted. A gold foil sticker with matching branding is also present on the underside. The item is housed in its original navy blue fabric-lined presentation box with a gold crown logo.
