A hand-embroidered officer grade bullion badge for the Palestine Police Force, dating from the British Mandate period circa 1920 to 1948. The badge is constructed using silver-tone bullion wire on a dark navy blue wool ground. The central motif features an intertwined monogram of the letters PP for Palestine Police, enclosed within a circular border. This border contains the unit title PALESTINE – POLICE executed in bullion wire embroidery. The device is surmounted by a King’s Tudor Crown, rendered in silver-tone wire with red and green silk embroidery highlights representing the crown jewels and velvet cap. This style of badge was typically produced for use on an officer’s dress cap or blazer.
