A miniature ceramic tea service, likely manufactured in Japan for the mid-20th century export market. The set is presented in its original illustrated cardboard box, which bears the title China tea set Flower Design and is marked FOREIGN in the upper right corner. The box lid features period graphic illustrations in colour depicting a child and the individual components. The ceramic pieces are decorated with a transfer-printed floral design featuring red, yellow, and blue blossoms. According to the printed contents list, the set comprises a teapot with lid, six cups and saucers, a milk jug, and a sugar bowl. A small white adhesive label with the handwritten characters 14585 is present at the top of the box.
