This lot consists of two ceramic animal figurines. The first is a naturalistic porcelain study of a Goldeneye duck in a swimming pose by the British manufacturer John Beswick. The figure features a green iridescent-style head with a white spot near the bill and black and white patterned plumage. The underside is marked with the John Beswick cursive script, the model number JBDB17, and the name Goldeneye. It retains an original circular gold foil label which reads John Beswick Hand Painted. The second item is a glazed ceramic figurine depicting a Boxer dog in a recumbent position. The dog is decorated with a fawn-coloured coat, a black facial mask, and white flash markings on the muzzle and paws. The underside of the dog figurine bears a green ink stamp for Western Germany.
