A pair of mid-century art glass vases featuring techniques characteristic of Murano production. The first item is a cylindrical blown glass vase displaying a graduated colour transition from ruby red at the base to a vibrant orange towards the rim. This piece features an applied clear glass handle in a scrolled swan-neck form and is supported by a thick, clear glass base. The second item is a heavy, thick-walled sommerso glass vase of ovoid form with a narrow circular aperture. The construction utilizes the sommerso technique, featuring an internal emerald green core encased within an outer layer of dark teal glass. This form and submerged colour technique are highly characteristic of Italian glass designs from the 1950s to 1970s, specifically those attributed to Flavio Poli for Seguso Vetri d’Arte. No signatures, maker’s marks, or labels are present on either piece.
