This lot consists of two pieces of mid-20th-century decorative art glass. The first is a heavy-walled bowl created using the sommerso technique, where layers of contrasting colour are encased within clear glass. The vessel features a central amber-coloured well, followed by layers of translucent white, dark smoke-grey, and a vibrant teal-blue outer rim. The glass is hand-formed into a four-lobed handkerchief or petal shape with a thick, undulating rim. A small gold-toned foil label is attached to the interior base. The second item is a translucent purple glass bowl or ashtray of circular form. The body is designed with sixteen deeply molded, rounded lobes radiating from a central circular well. Both pieces are consistent with mid-century European glass production.
Width: 6.5 inches.
